Happening:
broken yet holding
to
"broken-yet-holding" shows transformation as a method. Fragments are not hidden but mounted in paper collages, layered works, and performative pieces. Questions of identity, vulnerability, and self-determination arise without resolution. The collective is defined not by consensus but by shared inquiry: How can psychological suffering be expressed? How much does the body remember? What can art heal?
The exhibition takes place in the Galerie Gefängnis Le Carcerci, a former prison, where narratives of inner captivity, fractures, and healing unfold. Once a site of strict discipline and isolation, the space now allows reflection on mental confinement and resilience. Its architecture – a historical apparatus of societal control – mirrors states of vulnerability and self-observation, making the venue integral to the work. "broken-yet-holding" creates experiential spaces for self-reflection and dialogue. It does not diagnose but opens room for awareness and transformation. Art becomes expression, not judgment; inquiry, not prescription; connection through visibility, against silence.
