Fragments Negative continues the process of recycling and transformation at the core of Broken-yet-holding. The linen remnants left behind during the production of Fragments are reused once again: each piece is returned to its original position and stapled onto red fabric, creating a material negative of the preceding work. Nothing is discarded; absence itself becomes the starting point for another image.

Detached from their former motifs, the remaining shapes develop an abstract visual language of their own. Against the intense red ground, the pale fragments can suggest broken bones, scattered remains, or fractured continents drifting in an ocean of blood. Yet these associations remain deliberately unstable. The work never resolves into a single image.

Derived from the logic of Broken-yet-holding, rupture and connection coexist: what remains after destruction is gathered, repositioned, and held together once more. The negative is therefore not an endpoint, but another stage in an ongoing cycle of fragmentation, transformation, and reconstruction.
