Brenner–Havelka–Plessl is an internationally active artist collective based in Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic. The name, composed of twenty letters, does not function as a conventional signature but as a code system: each project or collaboration is assigned a distinct designation within this system, comparable to an identification number. The practice is grounded in conceptual rigor, interdisciplinary exchange, and material experimentation.

The works operate between performance, installation, and publication, engaging with institutional frameworks, spatial conditions, and conceptual orders. This produces a methodological approach that focuses less on the artwork as an object and more on systems, context, and relations.

Collaboration is an integral part of the artistic practice; depending on the project, the collective is selectively expanded with external experts. This project-based extension is part of the working structure itself and significantly shapes the production of the works.
