Red Moon unfolds as an intense psychological narrative in which social anxieties collide with surreal and brutally staged scenes. The storytelling of Brenner and Havelka becomes a means of processing fundamental experiences of time, transformation, and decay. The work addresses the erosion of cultural and social structures while reflecting on patriarchy, education and upbringing, the art market, entertainment, and capitalist systems.

The composition resembles a grotesque class photograph populated by tormented children - disfigured, traumatized, and marked by manipulation, abuse, and suffering. Behind them, a stage-like façade evokes the apparent security of an educational institution, yet opens onto a threatening landscape of destruction and flooding. This dystopian scenery deliberately contrasts with the idealized landscape of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. What once appeared as a distant, harmonious nature is transformed into an approaching threat, confronting the viewer with the consequences of human-induced climate change.
