Shifter takes a perspectival view over the shoulder of the subway driver as its starting point. The driver’s view into the tunnel and the surrounding interior merge with overlapping image sequences, dissolving different moments and perspectives into one another. A complex drawing is translated into a multi-layered screen print, creating a dense visual field in which space, movement, and fragmented impressions continuously shift and overlap.
