The Essence 2019 was presented as part of the University of Applied Arts Vienna’s annual Angewandte Festival, conceived as an open tour through the university and its artistic departments. The exhibition brought together artistic positions engaging with contemporary social and political questions. Under the theme Openings, exhibitions, interventions, and multidisciplinary contributions extended beyond the university spaces into the surrounding public realm.
