Max Brenner translates the experience of urban transit into a dense visual field shaped by movement, proximity, and sensory overload. His compositions draw on an archive of subway photographs from different cities and decades, which are fragmented, reinterpreted, and woven together until their original contexts begin to disappear. Figures overlap, perspectives collide, and no single point offers the eye a place to rest.

The crowded image becomes a reflection of the underground itself—a space where countless individual lives briefly converge while remaining strangely disconnected.
