Max Brenners project Doomscrolling examines perception in an age shaped by digital image culture, algorithmic information, and an endless circulation of visual stimuli. Dense compositions, fragmented spaces, and competing narratives place figures and viewers alike in states of distraction and uncertain orientation.
Entertainment, spectacle, mediated fears, and real threats increasingly overlap, making it difficult to distinguish between direct experience and constructed reality. Drawing connections between historical forms of collective anxiety and contemporary digital environments, Doomscrolling explores how constant exposure to images and information reshapes attention, amplifies uncertainty, and produces parallel perceptions of the world.
