paper stapled on canvas

|

Originating from a performative process, paper was first stapled directly onto the wall before shifting onto linen, establishing the work’s central material. Fragments, figures, and faces - torn from printed matter - are rearranged and visibly fixed, creating a layered, tactile surface.

Skin functions as both image and body: vulnerable, perforated, and held together through acts of rupture and connection. The staples evoke scars as much as bonds, marking traces of transformation and self-positioning. Oscillating between fragility and resilience, the work reflects on the search for stability in uncertain conditions. By slowing perception, it invites intimacy and a closer reading of structure and surface.
