Lose Control is a manipulated wall clock installation created for the exhibition The Blink of an Eye. The work disrupts the familiar logic of timekeeping: the clock’s hands suddenly accelerate forward, pause, or slowly reverse direction. No stable rhythm governs their movement, and time appears to slip out of linear order.

By intervening in a common object associated with precision and control, Brenner unsettles the reliability of measured time. The installation transforms the clock into a device of uncertainty, where past and future seem to blur and orientation becomes unstable. Lose Control reflects on the fragile human attempt to structure and master time, suggesting that the systems designed to regulate it may themselves be subject to disruption.
