The Red Pill Pop-Up Gallery brings together six contemporary artistic positions in a temporary exhibition that reactivates vacant urban spaces. As part of Bolzano Art Week’s theme Playground, diverse media—from sculpture and installation to print and painting—engage with the site and its transformation. The project highlights the potential of disused commercial spaces through participatory and experimental approaches. The artists reflect on themes such as consumption, perception, and digital overload. Works range from Petra Polli’s reconfigured scrap metal sculptures to Max Brenner’s hybrid print-based images and Matthias Mahlknecht’s interactive, nostalgic installations. Together, they create a dynamic environment that questions value, space, and contemporary modes of seeing.

In Max Brenners works, the digital overload condenses into visually exuberant sceneries in which references to recent events mix with science fiction-like visions. Moreover is human's attention span constantly decreasing, on the other hand, the attention itself has become a currency of its own for many business models, which people often are not aware of. The artist primarily creates with the techniques of painting and drawing, printmaking and with milling techniques. The series „Hospitality“ plays with different situation to be found in Hotels, Bars, restaurants, the Hospitality world where the there can be found a different idea of playground.
