In Brücke, the journey of the previous project-series Shift reaches its endpoint at the staircase leading back to the surface. Figures move almost synchronously between the steps and a first glimpse of the sky, while the composition simultaneously evokes the bird’s-eye view of a city illuminated in the early evening or morning. Two perspectives - subway interior and urban landscape - coexist within the same pictorial space.
