Fever expands this universe of project Fever 404 through a mysterious scene: a teenager with a birthday cake and cigarette, a child with ice cream, and a fortune-telling robot at the center. Yet the figures turn away from the machine that promises knowledge of the future, hinting at a conscious decision to reclaim responsibility for their own destiny.
The fortune-telling robot reappears from Brenner’s Sonntag, while the cards associated with it become the motifs of his Visions series. Fever thus forms a narrative bridge between three of Brenner’s project series, suggesting that their seemingly separate scenarios unfold within the same pictorial cosmos. Moving between detail and panorama, the works operate like a continuous process of zooming in and out—revealing different layers, moments, and perspectives of a shared universe.
Fever unfolds across three prepared wooden panels, each measuring 250×150cm and painted with spray paint. Each part of the triptych functions as an autonomous image, while together they form a continuous 250×450cm sequence. Conceived almost as a modular graffiti, the work can be installed in different configurations while retaining its narrative structure.
