Anti is a mixed-media painting depicting a group of young people playing in a 1990s-style arcade hall. Absorbed in their individual games, the figures inhabit parallel digital worlds - physically together yet mentally elsewhere. The scene reflects on contemporary forms of shared leisure, where entertainment, distraction, and digital adventure structure social interaction. At the same time, the work questions the economy of collective experience: what communities gather around and what they are willing to pay for. Its nostalgic visual language evokes early gaming culture.

By referencing the long tradition of war-themed games marketed as playful excitement, the painting hints at how conflict is aestheticized and normalized for young audiences. This theme is revisited by Brenner in his Flowers series from 2024.
