III is an experimental artist book created collaboratively by the visual artists Brenner, Kosmel, and Havelka. The project began without a defined outcome, driven instead by curiosity, instinct, and the deliberate surrender of individual control. Each artist initiated a work on a DIN A4 page within three days before passing it on to the next, who continued or altered it, while the third artist completed the piece. This rotating process generated a series of layered drawings, paintings, and collages shaped by reaction, conflict, and improvisation.
In a second phase, the artists briefly reflected on the images through short texts. When later merged and reordered collectively, these fragments formed an ambiguous narrative that destabilizes any fixed interpretation. The resulting book resembles a fragmented, post-apocalyptic diary, oscillating between fear, absurdity, and uncertainty - mirroring the instability of contemporary times. III ultimately explores collaboration, loss of control, and the emergence of meaning within chaos.
